Collection: MYSTIC QUARTZ

Mystic quartz is a treated, semi-precious gemstone featuring a vibrant, rainbow-like, iridescent coating, created by applying a thin layer of titanium or metal oxide to natural, colourless quartz. Known for its "oil on water" look, this durable stone (7 on Mohs scale) is popular in jewellery for its intense, multi-coloured appearance.
Key Features of Mystic Quartz:
Colour & Appearance: Displays brilliant, shifting rainbow colours, often showing strong purples, blues, and greens.
Treatment: It is not naturally occurring with this color; it is created using a patented vacuum deposition process (often Azotic LLC) to bond the metal to the surface.
Durability & Care: With a hardness of 7, it is suitable for daily wear. However, because the colour is a coating, it should be cleaned with mild soap and water, avoiding abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
Common Jewelry Use: Frequently used in rings, earrings, and pendants due to its affordability and striking look.
Distinctions: It is different from "Mystic Topaz" (which uses topaz as a base) and should not be recut or repolished, as this will destroy the surface coating.
